Ghouls 'n Ghosts

1989

Capcom

This game is horribly unbalanced. Prepare to die over and over again to hazards and obstacles that are practically impossible to avoid on your first playthrough. You will have to memorise every single enemy encounter and item spawn to survive this nightmare, but hey, at least there's unlimited continues. Don't have the right weapon equipped for the situation? Too bad, you're stuck with it even after you die. Your only hope is to find a chest and swap it with something more useful, just pray it isn't a life stealing skeleton. The graphics are good for the time but the sound is quite harsh on the ears. That's where the praise ends. This is one arcade experience you don't want at home.
