It's the same original Metroid Prime, but with a significant graphical upgrade, making the classic Gamecube FPS even better. Everything is still excellent, the gameplay, music, sound, atmosphere, all of it has aged like fine wine, my only complaints relate to quality of life features that I would expect to see in a modern remaster. For a game that provides so many different control scheme options, it is strange that you still can't fully customise your controls. The map system, while intuitive for the most part, could also use some improvements. Newer metroid games typically display areas of the map a different color if there's a secret to find, and they also introduced the ability to plot markers on the map. This is useful for keeping track of areas you still need to explore, making backtracking far less tedious, but unfortunately neither of these features were added. Regardless, this is still a fanstastic shooter and is now the best way to experience Samus' first fully 3D world for returning and new fans alike. A must-buy for Nintendo's portable powerhouse.
